Trips
Our season runs from Easter to the end of October and we operate trips to a variety of destinations, offering a choice of scenery and canal experiences.
There's Tea, Coffee and a bar on board, and there is a commentary about canal history and canalside features as we travel.
Public Trips
Our public trips run from our base at Trevor to Froncysyllte. These are 45-minute trips which include two crossings of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. For 2010 we are introducing a new schedule. Trips will run on Saturdays, Sundays and daily during school holidays in April, September and October. From May to August, we will run daily at 12noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. Visitors planning ahead will find it advantageous to ring beforehand, in case a booked party has caused an alteration to the schedule.
Charter Trips
We also operate a 2-hour trip, which takes in either a trip up the Dee Valley as far as Bryn Howel or to Chirk Marina, in addition to the Aqueduct trip above. These are only available to booked parties with a minimum of 20 passengers and are the trip on which meals are served.
Other destinations include Chirk Aqueduct, the Poacher's Pocket, Lion Quays and Llangollen.
